Enjoy the Journey (2Crafty Chipboard)

Dear crafty friends,
I'm here today to share one of my layouts for 2Crafty this month. It's called Enjoy the Journey. Here it is.

My main inspiration came from the Decorative Rod Set 2 piece I chose. I painted it black and partially covered it with bronze and dark teal embossing powder. I glued it in the middle of my layout, vertically.

The shine I got on that piece is gorgeous!

I decided to use a few of the 6" Clock Face Frames here and there on my layout. I embossed them in bronze embossing powder.

For my title piece, I chose the Enjoy the Journey piece.

I embossed it with the same bronze and dark teal powders I use all through my layout.

I used the Soul paper from 7 Dots Studio's collection called Fortune Teller.

I spread black modeling paste through the Soulmates Squares Stencil (7 Dots Studio) and sprinkled some embossing powder before I used my heat tool to dry and make it melt.

I also used 6x12 Fortune Teller Word Stickers and 12x12 Tags, along with Hazy Days Clear Stamps, Dreamscapes Clear Stamps and Thoughts Keeper Clear Stamps.

Happy (Guest Designer for Accent Scrapbooking)

Dear crafty friends,

I finally get to share my first layout for Accent Scrapbooking. Here it is.

I created it based on the beautiful moodboard for August:

I was inspired, of course, by the colors, but also by the gold glitter arrow, by the black and white stripes and by the soft and romantic feeling of the board.

I used one of the Grunge 1" badges on the right side of my picture, amongst my Prima flowers.

On the bottom left corner of my picture, I used two badges. The one with an arrow comes from the White Gold Metallic set, and the striped one comes from the Black and White set

I also used some 2Crafty Chipboards on the layout, to embellish everything.

Love (Prima Marketing)

Dear crafty friends,

Today, I'm sharing my very first layout for Prima Marketing.

One of my all time favorite products from Prima, after the gorgeous flowers, is the Crochet Doily Die. I just love the texture it adds to every layout.

I often use a coordinating paper (in this case, from the Vintage Emporium collection) to cut my dies, to be sure it goes well with the rest of the layout.

I also used two of the Forest Leaves dies to add behind my flowers.

I love the vintage feeling of this layout.

I also used two Accent Scrapbooking badges on this layout. The one shown above is from the Badges 1" - Mushrooms set

This one is from the Badge 1" - Forest Animals set

Today's Moments (7 Dots Studio)

My dear crafty friends,

It's my turn, today, to share a layout over at the 7 Dots Studio blog. I started my layout with the beautiful Twilight paper from the Hazy Days collection. I just love the blue and the yellow tones on that paper.

Those colors were the start up point of my layout. After a coat of clear gesso, I chose different colors of mists to go with the colors in the background.

Next, I used the Chevron stencil, also from the Hazy Days collection, to add brown paste. I love the contrast I got.

To mat my picture, I used papers from the Hazy Days 6x6 paper pad and some tags from the Hazy Days 12x12 Tags. I love how you could mix and match papers and tags in a cluster to create something dynamic!

I used some 2Crafty Chipboard pieces also on that layout. They are called the Corner Rosie's and I embossed them with brown embossing powder.

Adding finishing touches with Die-cut Elements 6x12, Word Stickers 6x12 and Elements Stickers 6x12 here and there around my layout. Those little pieces add so much to any layout.

Frog (Shimmerz Paints)

My dear crafty friends,

I'm here today to share my last creation for Shimmerz Paints. This will be my last share for this team, as I'm stepping down. I've been a member of this team for more than two and a half years now, and I learned a lot. I'd like to thank Stacey and Samantha for their generosity, their trust and their support. The Shimmerz Paints family will always have a warm place in my heart.

For this "grande finale", I created a painting for my niece. It's a 3' x 4' wood panel that goes in her room to hide the electrical box.

To color the frog, I used a lot of Shimmerz Paints products.

The green is made with the new Jolly Green Giant Creameez, a touch of I'm not Limon Inklingz and Peas Be Mine AcriTonez.

For the red eyes, I didn't have any red watercolor, so I used My Bleeding Heart and Scarlet's Fever Coloringz, along with Shimmerz Tar, Tar AcriTonez. I also used a little bit of 3 Sheets to the Wind AcriTonez for highlights.

For the frog's body, I used mostly Shimmerz Tar, Tar and My Bleeding Heart AcriTonez, diluted with lots of water. I used a touch of I'm not Limon Inklingz.

To make some shadows, I mixed the black Shimmerz Tar, Tar AcriTonez with In the Navy AcriTonez.

For the orange portions, I used My Clementine Creameez with Freshly Squeezed Coloringz. I added some Shimmerz Tar, Tar AcriTonez to make some shadows.

To make some dimension on the frog's skin, I used some paste. I used some Salt of the Earth Paste-Eez and I planed to use some Jelly Bean Green Dazzelerz, but when I reached for it, I discovered that the lid on my jar wasn't properly closed, so my paste dried! I needed something, so I mixed some Tidy Widy Texturez with Jolly Green Giant Creameez. It gave me the perfect green color textured paste.

I made some splatters with the colors I used to paint the frog. I added some Jiven Jade AcriTonez near the arm of the frog, diluted with water, and to make some more splatters.

Finally, I embellished with moss and flowers.

My Bleeding Heart, Freshly Squeezed and Scarlet's Fever Coloringz
3 Sheets to the Wind, Peas Be Mine, Shimmerz Tar, Tar, In the Navy and Jiven Jade AcriTonez
Salt of the Earth Paste-Eez

I really hope you like it.
Thanks again Stacey and Samantha for your trust and for all those wonderful years in the Shimmerz Paints family.
