You Make Me Happy (Words & Paintery)

Dear crafty friends,

I'm here very quickly this morning to present you my layout for this month Words and Paintery challenge.

I wasn't sure about the color combo this month, but as usual, I'm loving the result.

Here are some close-up pictures:

I used the Domestic Goddess collection from 7 Dots Studio as my base for this layout.

The Word Stickers are from the Verano Azul collection, also by 7 Dots Studio.

Flowers are from Prima Marketing, and chipboards are from 2Crafty Chipboard. I embossed them in black.

Flair badges are from Accent Scrapbooking.

I really hope you come and play along with us this month.

Have a great day.

Julie Nutting Tags (Prima Marketing)

Hi there, crafty friends,

I'm a little behind on sharing my creations with you on my blog.

This week was Julie Nutting week on Prima's blog. I got to create three tags with the two JN stamps I own. I don't often create tags and I thought this was so fun.

Here is what I came up with.

I started with tags from an old JN tag pad and created a mixed media background. I chose to glue one of my tags on a small 6x6 canevas on which I used white crackle paste.

I colored my background with Color Bloom Deep Teal and with Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint in Emerald Green.

I used some dies to die-cut leaves and doilies from a paper that I covered with the oil pastels.

I then adhered lace, flowers, SIIC, beads, and micro-beads to decorate.

I stamped the dolls on watercolor paper and I used Watercolor Confections in Tropical to color them.

I think everything came up pretty well. I had fun creating those tags.

Forgotten Treasures + video tutoriel (7 Dots Studio)

Dear crafty friends,

I'm up, today, on 7 Dots Studio's blog to share a process video. Here is the layout I created.

I was inspired by the gorgeous moodboard of Mixed Media and Art. Isn't it gorgeous? I love those greens.

When I looked at the moodboard, I immediately thought of the Lost and Found collection! It was one of my all time favorite! So I grabbed the few papers that I have left and I created this piece, inspired by the colors, of course, but also by the threes and by the nature.

My background paper is called Stained (Lost and Found collection). I covered it with clear gesso and created a mixed media background over it. To create my background, I used two stencils: Dreamscapes - Geometry Stencil and Hazy Days - Chevron Stencil.

I created two main clusters on my layout. Both of them sits on the Typewriter paper (Lost and Found collection). I also used the Sticky Notes paper (Lost and Found collection).

I also used the Lost and Found - Tags 12x12 in my clusters.

I added texture here and there with stamps: Thoughts Keeper - Clear Stamps, Hazy Days - Clear Stamps and Dreamscapes - Clear Stamps.

I used the Lost and Found - Die-cut Element 6x12 and the Lost and Found - Word Stickers 6x12 here and there in my clusters.

I really hope you like the results.

I created a process video for you to see. I hope you enjoy it.

This is my Life (Prima Marketing)

Dear crafty friends,

Today, on the Prima blog, is a day for cotton candy inspiration. A few of my collegues created beautiful projects with pastel colors. Here is mine.

When I think of cotton candy, I think about fairs and carnivals. As a kid, I enjoyed riding on roller coasters and playing games to win stuffed animals. But I think what I liked best was those big ball of cotton candy and the giant lolly pops. And my kids inherited my sweet tooth! They loooove candies! (Which kid doesn’t, really?)

I chose this picture of my daughter to express this candy love!

Catch a Falling Star and Put It in Your Pocket (7 Dots Studio)

Dear crafty friends,

I'd like to share with you the layout I created for my monthly share on 7 Dots Studio's blog.

I started my layout with the Dreamscapes - Twinkle paper on which I created a mixed media background with inks.

On my background, I used the Hazy Days - Clear Stamps with black archival ink to add interest.

I like adding tiny bits and pieces amongst my embellishments clusters. Here, I used a circle from the Dreamscapes - Die-cut Elements 6x12 to go with the circle shape of my flowers and badges.

Behind my picture, I used a few papers from the Dreamscapes - Pad 6x6. Those 6x6 paper pads are fantastic when I have to create a mat behind my picture or to add dimension on any layout. I also used a circle sticker from the Dreamscapes - Element Stickers 6x12.

My layout wouldn't be complete without a tag or two. I used, of course, the Dreamscapes - Tags 12x12.

For my title, I choose those two stickers from the Dreamscapes - Word Stickers 6x12, as I found the saying so beautiful.

Of course, all my flowers are from Prima Marketing. My badges are from Accent Scrapbooking.

Have a nice day.

This Is Good Life (Guest Designer for Accent Scrapbooking)

Dear crafty friends,

It's already my last share as guest designer for Accent Scrapbooking. I couldn't ignore those cute mushrooms badges. They are way to cute! And I thought they were a perfect match for the beautiful Dreamscapes collection from 7 Dots Studio. So here is what I came up with.

I paired one of the mushrooms with a badge from the Herringbone Texture set.

You can see, on the picture below, that I used another mushroom badge amongst my flower cluster.

Above my picture, I used one badge from the Textures set.

I used lots of 2Crafty chipboards on this layout, along with lots of 7 Dots Studio Dreamscapes products.

I went a bit crazy with the colors on this one!

Lots of layers! All my flowers are from Prima Marketing.

I really hope my layout inspired you to visit Kareen store on etsy to see her amazing selection of badges. She offers great service and fast shipping!
